Very Sweet Cottage All Decked Out For Fall

It's coming. I can feel it in the air. The morning dew is so wet I have to wear boots to walk the dogs. I am so not ready. I am trying with all my might to savor August because when it's gone the year just flies by. The next thing you know it will be Labor Day and then all the stores will be pushing Halloween. I know it's a great time of year but I'm still hanging on to summer. How about you?

I really dislike winter, so I do not look forward to it. HOWEVER, I adore autumn, and after all the heat this summer I must admit I am ready for the change. If only spring and fall lasted longer, and winter and summer were not quite so intense!

I love the best local produce this time of year! I am still enjoying
peaches and tomatoes and sweet corn, the list goes on and on.
I wouldn't rush anything either.
New to us this Summer is sweet corn ice cream. It is very good.
I strained mine when I made it and the finished product tastes similar to baked bread pudding.

Love how little the cottage is! We always have summer here in the tropics. Sometimes, I do miss the fall, though.

Our summer started late this year so I'm still enjoying it. But I do LOVE autumn, I could have six months of Fall no problem.

I'm hanging on to summer too. Really it's the end of Feb. through April I'm not crazy about. I remind myself how much I love candles and cozy blankets to get me through. It's the lack of sun that gets a person down.
