So far, so good today. The banding effect of the storm has been an on again/off again rain. The worst is supposed to be at my cottage tomorrow morning around 7:30. Sometimes I think being ultra prepared keeps things at bay. Be safe and I'll see you tomorrow. Goodnight.

Dear Rosemary, we do so hope you have awakened to a "powered" house and that all your preparedness will continue to hold Irene at bay. We had bands of wind and rain all night and still have power this morning. Be safe.

Rosemary, I know that I am one among your many readers who hope that Irene didn't mess with the cottage. You have spoiled us. There's never a day when we don't hear from you. So, on the brightest side of possibilities, I'm thinking that you are without power. That's not fun but better than having trees down and flooding.

Rosemary, it's been a crazy couple of weeks what with an earthquake, hurricane and visitors. The hurricane for us was over hyped but you my dear were in a more precarious situation. Just happy to know you, Webster and your darling cottage are all okay.
Some of our visitors flew home on Saturday before the storm hit and others (NYC folks) were delayed until this morning due to Irene.
Oh, this large/little house is so charming. I would love to go inside and peek around the corners and into the rooms.
