Today is a good day for one of the last fires of the season. I just returned from walking the Wonder Dog and he went back to bed. It's hard to decide what to do---light a fire or take a nap.
Wish I had visited your site earlier. I would have advised a good book, a blanket, and a nap with Mr. Webster by your side on the floor. Those days are heaven-sent to help us recharge and we should take advantage of the rain-kept-indoors days. You've been burning the candles at both ends for quite a while and your body is trying to tell you something.
LOVE this photo, looks like my lounge. It is cold here in Victoria, Australia as we are heading into Winter. I have our wood fire on, a cosy lamp, sewing and relaxing.

It is COLD out there! Emma doesn't seem to mind but with an Old English Sheepdog's coat, she wouldn't. Your room looks cozy!

I know what I would have done. I'd would have lit the fire and taken a short nap on the sofa, enjoying both options at the same time.
