The Emotional Life of Chickens | A Great Story

My friend Victoria (The Queen Vee) sent me this wonderful story from The Telegraph one day last week. Did you know chickens are capable of empathy - not to mention jealousy, selfishness, love and lust? The article is about a rescued chicken and how she made herself popular after being adopted by a wonderful woman who named her Lucky. It is a short story all on one page and I promise you will love it. Read more...

Thanks for the mention Rosemary. I can't believe that no one has commented on this charming story. Do you think you and I are the only two chicken lovers?

Rosemary, I don't know how I missed this post of yours. The photos are stunning. And the story is wonderful, and wonderfully written. Lucky reminds me of Pigeon, my rescue chicken. Isn't it amazing what we learn when we stop to see what's really going on?
Thank you!
