An Amazing Kitchen

This kitchen might be a little too dark for me in real life but I really do love it. Do you think it's a trophy kitchen? It's probably in a NYC apartment where little cooking is done and it's always the cocktail hour. Viera thinks the paint color might be Hague Blue by Farrow & Ball. I wish I could peek around the corner and see more.

I'll be sitting at a public open house at one of my listings this afternoon. If only it had this kitchen.

Wow.. I never imagine it.. but it's amazing indeed!

BTW, would you pay 69.3 mil for a Chinese vase? Go take a look at it on my blog and let me know what you think. :-)

You are probably correct; this looks like a kitchen in a small urban apartment. I like the way they made good use of space by extending the cabinets all the way to the very high ceiling. The dark wood floor is rich looking. I agree, the cabinetry is a bit dark, though. That towel rack directly in front of the sink would drive me crazy!

The thing I like the most is the gorgeous wooden floor. I think I would like the kitchen more if the counter and backsplasch were lighter.

Why not go for total decadence?

Kitchen for the boathouse with an old Gar Wood & Chris Craft hanging below.

Hope you have a great week.

My mother had a house that had a butler's pantry similar to this-cabinets all the way to the ceiling. I loved it so. Ah, for the days of buying a home like that for 19K. I don't think you could get her pantry for that now!

There is so much to love about this kitchen. I think that they can get away with that dark paint color because a. they have that great window over the sink and b. because the paint has a gloss finish. It would be fun to see what the rest of this abode (I agree probably apartment) looks like. I must confess though, I'm a white cabinet fanatic although it doesn't prevent me from appreciating this kitchen.
