Croquet, Horseshoes or Bocce Ball? | Lawn Games

I'll choose croquet. I grew up playing this game and never got over it. These would make nice gifts if you're visiting someone at their summer home.

I've been wanting to get some lawn games - I think it would be a fun family tradition to play them when we get together.

I own every one of these games and we enjoy playing all three although the horseshoes only get used at the beach once a year. I don't have the space for a horseshoe pit in my yard.

I love croquet, my cousins and I used to play it every Sunday in the summer at my grandmother's house. About 5 years ago I purchased a wonderful old set at an estate sale in Denver. I remember this one gentleman followed me all around until I paid for it, he was hoping I would put in down so that he could buy it.

Are you and Webster doing okay is this heatwave we are having? Virginia is scorched and trees are starting to lose their leaves. We're hoping for a thunderstorm tomorrow.

Bocce for us here Rosemary. Our boys play a very competitive & noisy game with lots of sledging!
