Baked Cinnamon French Toast Recipe

I want some of this delicious looking baked french toast NOW from The Pioneer Woman Cooks. Warning, Ree Drummond makes Paula Deen look like a rookie when it comes to using the richest, most fattening ingredients on the planet. I never even thought of tearing up the bread like you do for a strata. Let me know if you make this. Now I'm going downstairs to eat my boring oatmeal.

Rosemary,

I have been following your blog for quite a while. I lived in Hunterdon, Middlesex and Union Counties in NJ for more than 40 years, but I am now living in the AZ desert (Cave Creek).

I love Chatham with all of the wonderful homes and "small town" charm!

In any event, I just had to comment about this recipe. I eat oatmeal almost every day because I have been fighting the battle of the bulge my entire life. Once in a while, however, I do stray for special occasions and I am definitely keeping this recipe in mind for one of those times!

Thank you for sharing!

I received a copy of Ree Drummmond's cookbook from Queen V for Christmas. It's filled with recipes for young whipper snappers and cowboys, plus all of us city slickers who deserve to splurge upon occasion. I say the french toast on a sunny morning followed by a brisk walk and rigorous garden chores for the remainder of the day will be just fine. And, besides, it's all about the portions. Right?
Bon appetite, Linda

This is mouthwatering! I was so excited to finally meet Ree Drummond - aka - The Pioneer Woman, at her book signing, this past Friday evening. Even lovelier in person. Now I've got a signed copy of her cookbook! Guess that means I've got some cooking to do. :-)

All my best - Wanda Horton

Hi Rosemary!

I've been following Ree for many years...well, just a short while after she started her blog. I love her! She's a great photographer, cook, home schooler, gardener...there's not much she doesn't do well. Her kids are great, Marlboro Man is hot, and she's hilarious too! The "Black Wheels" bio is awesome and still being finished.

I've made many of her recipes and they are easy enough to lighten up if you want to, and some I do. But even so, her recipes are healthier than Paula's, in my opinion.

Love your blog Rosemary!

I've just been on the phone to MOTH's cardiologist about this Rosemary. Needless to say it got a big NO! But that doesn't stop me from filling the house with the aroma of this cooking, sitting down & scoffing the lot & watching MOTH cry like a baby!
