I had many notes and comments about the spider web I found in my kitchen and photographed for the blog yesterday. A blog reader asked me if I'd ever heard The Legend of the Christmas Spider. It is a wonderful folk legend from Germany and the Ukraine.

I thought I had never heard of this legend but when I went and read it last night, I remembered a picture book I read to my daughter(from the local library, of course!)that told this same tale.
I'll never look at a spider and it's web the same way, now after reading that(and your blog).
