"Men and Dogs Love An Open Fire" Illustrated Quote Dorothy Draper

It's finally cold enough to have a roaring fire. The last image is my first fire this year at the cottage. I'm going to bring lots of firewood up to the house from the barn today. Tonight will be perfect for a fire and a movie. Dorothy Draper is not a decorator that I have followed or know much about but I plan to learn more. Don't you like the frame I picked for the illustrated quote I designed? Have a wonderful week and enjoy the last day in November. The countdown has begun.

I love the pictures, Rosemary! Enjoy your fire; it's supposed to get cold tonight. Dorothy Draper is one of my favorite decorators.

Thank you for visitng my birds blog and for the comment you left about the Baltimore Oriole there eating the oranges.

I like the open fire too and some of the mystic related probably dates back to our ancestors sheltered in cold caves during the last ice age. It would have been a miracle then as it is now. I also miss not having an open fire.

Nothing beats a "real" wood fire.
I sure wish Snuggy House had a fireplace. What a wonderful place to be on a cold night.
Have a wonderful week, Rosemary!

I moved up to the Trenton/Philly area 1 year ago, and have lived in two homes with no fireplace!! I lived in South Eastern New Mexico and North Texas all my life and always had a fireplace! How does one build a home in the NE US and not put in a fireplace?! I've been looking at the electric ones at Costco because I so miss my fireplace! (I'm in a rental, so I can't do anything but have a "fake" fireplace) :-( Still, I do love the quote and the lovely art that frames it so perfectly!
