Cate Blanchette on Cover of December American Vogue

Cate Blanchette is a good reason to go out and buy the December issue of American Vogue. Don't you agree? She's one of my very favorite actors. I have to admit I prefer calling her an actress or is that politically incorrect these days? ~Rosemary

I think she is a great 'actress' too. I am tired of PC aren't you? I mean she IS a female. I will have to get the issue. Have you seen Better Homes and Gardens Christmas issue yet? Very pretty.

If I looked like that and had the career she has, I wouldn't care what anyone called me.

She was so awesome as the ruffle-collared Elizabeth, the Virgin Queen. I believe it is perfectly acceptable to refer to a woman as an actor.

Cate & her husband have had a wonderful year as the Artistic Directors of the Sydney Theatre Company. They've been asked to extend their contact & I hope they do, apparently their recent production of A Streetcar Named Desire was brilliant!

I am sure the Great Cate calls herself an "actress". :-)
I agree woth you, Rosemary--she is phenomenal in every movie she appears in and she belongs on the cover of Vogue--such style and class. I always am envious of her clothes and style when I see her in photographs. Just this past Sunday, there was a photo of her in the paper and I was mesmerised by her outfit, and tore the photo out(do I sound like a teenager?) so I could carry it around with me in my quest for the perfect pair of short boots. She, of course, was wearing them. LOL!
