Life's Little Instruction Book, page 128 . . .

...To be continued...

Thanks for stopping by the cottage on this last Saturday of August. The summer has virtually disappeared here and it's cold and rainy. After all the heat we've had, it feels very good. I just feel sorry for all the people on vacation. It will be better on Sunday. Enjoy your weekend. ♥Rosemary

We've had a lot of rain the past day too. It's supposed to be one very dreary weekend. Yea!! Time to catch up on the household chores and do a little baking.
Have a wonderful weekend, Rosemary!

Number 429 is especially true! The Ohio State Fair just recently concluded. Some of the 4-H competitins were aired on the Ohio Channel and we watched little girls model their first sewing projects and small children lead their dogs through an obstacle course with just hand movements. It was amazing! It would have been amazing being done by anyone--but to consider that it was being done by children--some as young as 9. It gives you great hope for what the future could hold.

No. 429 struck a chord with me too. I have submitted entries in the county fair the last three years and my granddaughters get very excited and wait with great anticipation to see what "Grandma won". I entered a scarecrow this year and sent them pictures as it was constructed incrementally in our entryway. I also entered our family's favorite cookies and a place setting where I pretended a little boy was having his 4th birthday. The girls knew all about my entries so when there was an article announcing the winners in the newspaper, I sent it to them. They were thrilled -- although the youngest still thinks my cookies should have received first place. ;-)
