Random photos, second mowing finally finished . . .

These photos were taken in the early yesterday evening. I finally finished all my mowing and hand trimming. The sky was amazing for just a few moments.

Back view after second mowing.

A red sapling growing in the pachysandra.

Lambs ears.

Ladies mantle will soon be flowering.

Chive blossoms.

New growth on a blue spruce.

*swoon* That is beautiful(and what a sky!)
I finally put some Lady's Mantle in my garden (bought some plants at a high school plant sale Sat.) and need to re-establish Lamb's Ear in my garden, being reminded of
how much I adore that plant by seeing your photo (I had a cat who used to "spray" on my lamb's ears and it eventually killed them .That stuff is truly toxic!)

Beautiful photos, Rosemary, especially love the blue spruce.
I've just come back from three days in western Kentucky where everything was so green and lush it was almost overwhelming. Landing at the airport yesterday, it was never more apparent that we really do live in a desert here in Southern California. Here we are in mid-Spring and the natural landscape is already looking a little scorched. Makes me think more seriously about water conservation, that's for sure!

looks like heaven Rosemary! Say a prayer for my kitty Barkin who is in kitty heaven & looked just like the tabby in your blog. He died of cancer last week, but we had 14 amazing years together!

How wonderful that it's all finished Rosemary - you've really had a great cardio workout! It looks fabulous, I love that I can't see any fences or boundaries or neighbours.

Isnt the green a refreshing difference? We had a brown yard by Fall, last year and this is so truly beautiful and green. (Indiana here) Almost jungle-like! Thank you Rosemary! I was anticipating your freshly mowed yard! lol...

Rosemary, your yard truly looks like a restful sanctuary from the world. I love it!
I just divided my Lambs Ear yesterday....it nearly tripled in size from when I first put it in.

The long view of your garden is just stunning and you captured its perfection beautifully. Now that you have got it looking great, be sure to take some time out to just sit and enjoy it!
