Another version of the Henry Ward Beecher quote . . .

I made another version of this quote. The first version appears in the post below. Which do you like better? Just curious. I call this one The Polaroid.

I am still having fun with my new camera lens. I couldn't get a good shot of the lily of the valley without doing the army crawl in the dirt so I picked it. I love the way it looks on the scallop shell. Click on the image for a larger view.

Happy Friday. Enjoy the long weekend. Have fun whatever you do. ♥Rosemary

Hi Rosemary. Beautiful photo. Lily of the Valley are just too pretty, aren't they?
And since you asked, I prefer the "polaroid". The white frame lightens it all up and helps the flowers "pop" in the middle. It looks better against the dark background of your blog page too. The other quote is heavy and looks disconnected from the lightness and fragility of your photo's subjects. There. That's my two cents.
Happy Friday!

The polaroid, definitely...but I can't agree with the quote. Just yesterday I saw a beautiful climbing rose bush with tiny roses no bigger than a quarter. White with pink edging on each one. Without thinking about it, I cupped one in tips of my fingers and spoke to it. "Aren't you sweet." Whatever you may call it, flowers speak to us.

Hello Rosemary,
I like them both, but I think my favorite is the "polaroid" look. It's a beautiful shot.
Have a wonderful weekend!

I like yours best. And now I will go pick some LOV to put into a teeny weeny vase to enjoy while they're blooming. Nice photo's with your new camera lens.

One more thing, once I read the other comments I sort of agree with Gail. Most things have a soul, and I am constantly talking to plants in my garden and elsewhere. They love it. Happy Memorial weekend Rosemary. And your lawn looks loverly by the way.

Yes, add my vote for the Polaroid shot too Rosemary. I love the juxtaposition of the flower against the scallop shell, I'm in awe of how your mind works with your photographic compositions.
Enjoy your Long Weekend.

I like the Polaroid version. The smaller font against a white background qietly draws attention to the quote and leaves me "moony-eyed" gazing at the lily on the shell.
