Isn't this the best quote you've seen in ages? It is over 200 years old and still rings true. Too bad it is not practiced. Our national debt is incomrehensible to me.

The debt, the entire state of the economy, is all very scary isn't it? Perhaps if we all had a smaller sense of self-entitlement things would improve a bit. It is incomprehensible.
Great quote! There's quite a bit of wisdom in reading George Washington, Ben Franklin, and Thomas Jefferson. My all-time favorite money related quote is
"He who buys what he does not need, steals from himself". I wrote that on a post-it note and kept it on my checkbook cover for years. Just reciting that little diddy helped me say NO to quite a few purchases that would have robbed me.
