Baby It's Cold INSIDE . . .

Webster is worried again. He is remembering the summer and the fact that I did not turn on the central air one single time. He is afraid I am going do the same thing with the furnace this winter. How many blankets can you pile on a dog? Brrrrr!

Do you go by the calendar or the thermometer? I try to hold off until November. As I write this I am wearing flannel lined jeans, wool turtle neck, heavy Norwegian cardigan, thick wool socks, and I am seriously considering searching for my fingerless gloves. I just got back from a walk and it is warmer outside. I can't see my breath so I think I am fine. Can't wait until bedtime comes and I can jump under my big fat down comforter.

This is the cutest photo of poor Mr. Webster.
Turn up the heat, at least for the pets!!!!

I will probably break down and turn on the heat tomorrow morning.
I will tell Webster that Stacey is on his side!

We lit our wood burning stove here last night. I know crazy when the day temps are 67, but it's cold at night! Mr. Webster would love us!

Candy...Webster really would love your wood stove. I have a woodburning fireplace in my living room but my computer room is on the third floor. I really should get a laptop and enjoy an open fire now and then. You will be pleased to know that I located Webster's indoor "sweater" which he is proudly wearing right this minute. He sends his love...Rosemary

That picture is the best. Webster -- I feel your pain.

I haven't turned on the heater yet. It's coming though. When outside is warmer than inside -- it's coming.

Have a great day Rosemary.

Sabina...Webster thanks you for your concern. He is looking very handsome today in his reindeer sweater. So far, I am still resisting the urge to turn on the heat. Best, Rosemary

What an adorable pampered doggie, all bundled under the blankets(I would do the same)
October 1 was usually the date I would hold out for, but this fall was warmer than most so it wasn't hard doing that. To be honest, our heat only comes on for a few minutes in the morning and we have not used it yet in the evening yet.(we sit under blankets on the couch to ward off the chill.(we have a very small house, so it heats up quickly...the onlt advantage to living in a small place, I think)
I wonder if the cld weather now has made yu give in and turn on that heat....I took a walk just now and it was the first time this season I could have used some gloves on my hands. :-)

Gal Friday...Webster is wearing his indoor sweater and the house is not nearly so cold since the wind died down. The thermostat is still untouched for the winter season. My small home would heat up quickly. I shall turn the furnace on any day now to take the chill off. Thanks for check in.
Best, Rosemary

I do the same thing. Also, keep my furnace on 62 during winter but I live in lower NC.
